Nigel Hall
Nigel Hall studied at the West of England College and the Royal College of Art and has worked from a studio in London since the 1970s. His works, principally made of polished wood or steel, are concerned with three dimensional space, mass and line. His abstract and geometric sculptures give as much prominence to voids and shadows as to the solidity of material and each work changes with light and viewpoint reflecting the landscapes that inspired them.
He is a Senior Royal Academician and has exhibited his works worldwide. Public collections include Tate Gallery; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge; Kettles Yard, Cambridge.
Nigel Hall has exhibited in a number of exhibitions at Fen Ditton Gallery, including Seeing Red (Jan 20), Modern Art for Modern Living (Sept 19) and was an expert judge on the panel for the inaugural Contemporary Printmaking Prize (May 21).
