Jan Ayton is a Cambridge-based artist whose projects explore themes of journey patterns, migration cycles and the Fen landscape.

This work represents the return train ticket that suffragette Emily Davison has in her pocket when she threw herself in front of the Queen’s Horse at the Epsom Derby in 2013.

Ayton has been awarded Intaglio Printmakers Prize in 2017 and The Photographer’s Eye in 2013.
