Workshop: Dry Point Etching - Imprints of Nature (Postponed due to Covid-19)

Sadly, due to Coronavirus, this workshop has been postponed until further notice.

Fen Ditton Gallery are pleased to welcome artist-printmaker, Susie Turner, to host the first in a series of art workshops at the gallery.

Come and learn the printmaking technique of dry point etching in our inspiring gallery space.

This full day workshop will run from 10am - 4pm. Includes lunch, refreshments and all materials.

No previous experience needed. Suitable for ages 16+ and all abilities. You are welcome to bring along sketchbooks or drawings you have made and your own drawing materials on the day, if you wish.

Morning session: Susie will briefly introduce the technique and you will have the chance to view examples of prints, prepare the artwork and printing plate. You will be making line and tonal drawings either using pencil or pen and ink.

Afternoon session: The afternoon is for printing! You will have the chance to produce 3 or 4 prints and can take away your printing plate too.
